Who are we?

WE ARE MALENA, Malindi (27)& Elena (23) Demery two sisters from Dublin, Ireland with a passion for building fashion brands.

As sisters but more importantly, best friends growing up together we always knew we wanted to work side-by-side, the dream from a young age had always been to own our own company, although at the time we did not know what that might be

In 2015, Malindi graduated from college in IADT with a degree in Business & Entrepreneurship. Elena in the meantime was only beginning her studies with a degree in Business & Mangement from a DIT. It was then that the stars aligned and we both felt it was the right time to take the risk and co-found our very own fashion distribution company Malena Limited.

We started the company in the basement of our family home, soon after we managed to land our first big deal. The exclusive (Irish) distribution rights for Italian shaping effect pants brand Freddy.

With limited capital for marketing, we relied solely on the use of social media and influencer marketing, which helped leverage the brand to grow beyond our expectations.

Since 2015, the business has grown exponentially, requiring two subsequent moves to larger warehousing and showroom premises. Today we are delighted to be based in the prominent Fashion City complex.

Alongside, the popular Freddy brand, we have also secured the exclusive agency distribution contracts with theeyewear company Quay Australia and a suite of Scandinavian fashion outfits like Sparkz Copenhagen, Svea & Rosemunde.

While we continue to wholesale our brands to boutiques across the country, Our latest venture WE ARE MALENA is designed as the go-to shopping destination for women who want to feel confident, fashionable and most importantly comfortable in their clothes. We hope you love the brands as much as we do and enjoy scrolling away, adding to cart and tagging us with your new purchases.

In the future, our ultimate goal is to roll out our own line of clothing so watch this space for more to come from MALENA

Size Guide and How to Measure

FREDDY

Freddy is a an Italian brand that follows a European measuring chart (see below).

It is important that you get the correct size in FREDDY WR.UP® pants so they can accentuate your figure rather than flatten and over stretch around your buttocks and crotch area. The seams are specifically designed to assist your natural curves and apply pressure to lift the buttocks.

If the seams are over stretched it can cause too much pressure and could lead to damaging the pants.

If you are between sizes we would advise our customers to size up.

Care Instructions

FREDDY WR.UP® are not the same as regular pants. The unique design and elastic materials make the pants extremely comfortable but also more delicate. They need to be cherished and treated with care. Please follow these care instructions to ensure you keep your garments in great shape so you can continue to enjoy your FREDDY WR.UP® long after they are bought.

GENERAL CARE FOR YOUR FREDDY WR.UP®:

When choosing your dream FREDDY WR.UP pants It is important that you get the correct size so they can accentuate your figure rather than flatten and over stretch around your buttocks and crotch area. If the seams are over stretched it can cause too much pressure and could lead to damaging the pants.
You need to put on your FREDDY WR.UP® pants like stockings by gradually rolling them up the legs.
Always open the buttons and undo the zipper before putting on and taking them off.
DO NOT pull at the belt loops or tug at the waist of the pants, as this will damage the pants.
Be extra careful if you have long or false fingernails and keep your pants away from sharp or rough surfaces as these can damage the delicate material of the pants.
FREDDY WR.UP® fashion pants may give some people the impression they could be used for working out. These pants are not designed to be used while exercising, they are meant to be used after the gym. Try our FREDDY WR.UP® Sport with its D.I.W.O technology if you are looking for something to run, train or work out in.
HAND WASH only in cold water with a small amount of mild detergent
Unfasten any buttons before washing
DO NOT use fabric softener as this inhabits the wicking capabilities in technical fabrics
Wash sport wear after each use, as deodorants may bleach the fabric.
DO NOT leave wet. DO NOT soak. DO NOT tumble dry. DO NOT dry clean. DO NOT bleach
DO NOT iron on or near the silicone membrane
Line dry in shade without delay. DO NOT dry in direct sunlight.
